Santa delivers Ubuntu
22 12 2006After a massive attack at some documentation today, I finally got around to a break where I got to read some Google news. I inputed Ubuntu and came up with some exciting news this evening, now morning. One of the articles I will do a write up on for the Fridge here in a bit. The other, damn close to Fridge worthy, and could possibly be, but I just couldn’t wait. It seems that Santa has come early this year however his sack is not filled with stuffed animals, dolls, or choo-choo trains. No, not at all. Instead Santa is delivering Ubuntu, Christmas style!
Ubuntu Christmas Edition is a joyfully fun distribution. Myself not being a GNOME afficianado actually took a liking to it. Why? I guess the festive feel overwhelmed me, and also because the latest daily of Ubuntu Feisty unmounts my CD-ROM at the “Checking CD-ROM” section. As I am writing this, I am looking at [!!] Detect and mount CD-ROM. On the other hand I am also looking at a wonderful Christmasy felling wallpaper as well. Screenshots are here.
Here is wishing you and yours a very happy holidays.
And just so I don’t forget those of you who celebrate a different holiday this time of year.
MERRY CHRISTMAHANAKWANZAKA!

I would like to thank you personally for such a great review of “Ubuntu Christmas edition”.
You do an excellent job at finding news as I have read before in rss feeds. Keep up the good work!!!
