The wall-paper is not that important, but it is a first impression for new people using the live cd e.g. I would suggest at least something blue... but less busy than the current hardy default. Right now I am trying out Suse (which is not a bad distro at all, but it does remind me of why I prefer something Debian-based...yast is only TOO eager to get on my nerves), but nice to know adept will be available eventually when the time has come to replace KDE 3.x with 4.x on my main machine - and I'm getting more and more eager to do just that but not quite yet.
